DI

Welcome!

I am Dimitrios Irodotou (he/him/his) and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, Finland.

My research currently focuses on developing a black hole accretion and feedback model for single and binary black holes, which will be implemented in the KETJU code.

In 2021, I obtained my PhD at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. I researched the structural and dynamical properties of galaxies and their components, as well as the effects of AGN feedback on stellar dynamics. To investigate these topics I used various theoretical tools, such as the L-Galaxies semi-analytic model, the EAGLE cosmological simulation, the FLARES suite of zoom-in re-simulations, and the Auriga suite of magneto-hydrodynamical simulations of Milky Way-like galaxies.

Here, you can find more information about my research.
